    i am doing problems that you have to solve by substitution ex. 3x =24
    x + 2y = 0 help me with this

      That's Algebra, you're in the wrong place. Sorry.

    • # discipleofmath replied on 06/07/2008, 01:29:

      you just know that x = 8 so plug in x = 8 into the equation x+ 2y = 0 so then 2y + 8 = 0 => 2y = -8 then solve for y

      • # JAPBOYGT replied on 09/26/2008, 05:56:

        YOU DUMB FUCK X DOESNT =8

        • # JAPBOYGT replied on 09/26/2008, 06:00:

          SORRY I THOUGHT IT WAS A WHOLE LONG PROB FOR EX.3X=24X+2Y=0

        I am not understanding

    • # JAPBOYGT replied on 09/26/2008, 06:01:

      Y=-4 & X=8
      DUH THIS IS 4TH GRADE MATH

      • # mat replied on 10/08/2009, 09:26:

        I have no solution

      • # jasminet1171 replied on 06/08/2011, 18:41:

        JAPBOYGT, DUH back atcha. Why is it OK for you to say x<>8 above and then say x=8 here, telling DicipleofMath (dom) he's a dumb fuck for saying x=8? x=8. You're the dumb jerk of a fuck. dom was just being nice enough to give sheliad a heads up on how to solve.

      3x8=24
      x+2-4=0
      y= -4 haha! :)

  • # dst41love wrote on 10/20/2007, 18:00:

    3x=24 divide both sides by 3 to find the value of x. Then substitute the value of x for x in the second problem and solve for y.

    Slide 3 is wrong.

    Area of triangle = (1/2)bc*sinA

    Slide 1 layout is really bad
    He is trying to say
    (Sin A)/a = (Sin B)/b = (Sin C)/c
